SENTIDOS ATRIBUÍDOS À SEXUALIDADE E GÊNERO POR PROFESSORES DE CURSO DE GRADUAÇÃO EM PSICOLOGIA DA CIDADE DO RECIFE
O objetivo geral da presente pesquisa foi investigar os sentidos atribuídos à sexualidade e gênero por professores de curso de graduação em Psicologia. Foram realizadas entrevistas com seis professores/as em uma instituição de ensino superior particular da cidade do Recife. Para instrumentalizar a análise, evocou-se teóricos pós-estruturalistas, tais quais Judith Butler (2015), Kathryn Woodward (2000) e Tomás Tadeu da Silva (2004), que permitiram analisar as relações de poder contidas nos discursos dos entrevistados e assim pensar a temática por vieses diferentes em relação ao senso comum. Dentre as principais questões levantadas na discussão, está a constante presença de visões binaristas em relação ao gênero que, constantemente, o relacionam com uma visão essencialista em torno do sexo. Em relação a inserção do tema em sala de aula foi apontado que o tema é pouco debatido. Portanto, levando em consideração que há no psicólogo uma posição de autoridade ao proferir discursos sobre a temática, é importante que esta esteja presente na formação do psicólogo, pois, quando estas questões passam a ser vistas por perspectivas binárias e essencialistas, produz-se sofrimento aos que não pertencem à norma.

Abstract:
The general objective of this research was to investigate the meanings attributed to sexuality and gender by professors of an undergraduate course of Psychology. Interviews were conducted with six teachers from a private higher education institution in the city of Recife. To instrumentalize the analysis, post-structuralist theorists were evoked, such as Judith Butler (2015), Kathryn woodward (2000) and Tomás Tadeu da Silva (2004), which helped to analyse the power relations contained in the interviewee speeches and to investigate the theme through theoretical bases different from common sense. Among the main issues pointed in the discussion, there is the frequent presence of binary views regarding gender that constantly relate it to an essentialist view around sex. Regarding the insertion of the theme in the classroom, it was pointed out that the theme is little debated. Therefore, considering that there is a position of authority in the psychologist when giving speeches on the theme, it is important that discussions about gender and sexuality become more present in the training of the psychology professional, for, when these issues come to be seen through binary and essentialist perspectives, it produces suffering for those who do not belong to the norm.
