  • Abstract:

In this work we recover some of the capacities expressed by indigenous peoples to build their own social and development projects, in this case, their own educational projects, incorporating in them their own knowledge built from different logics, showing realities that diverge from the Western world and that, however, are as valid as the knowledge known as "universal" emerging from the Western and modernizing project. From this perspective Interculturality takes on all its meaning, as a possibility to build a symmetrical dialogue between cultural knowledge, world visions and between differentiated and even opposite content. In this article, we analyze some of the pedagogical foundations and the construction logics of two bilingual Intercultural educational projects: one, mixes village (Ajuujk) of Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Mixe, Oaxaca, called the Ayuujk Polyvalent Community Indigenous Baccalaureate (BICAP) and the other from the Tzeltal people of the Cañadas de Ocosingo, in the municipalities of Ocosingo, Citalá and Chilon in Chiapas, called Indigenous Community Education for Development and Autonomy (ECIDEA). The axis that intertwines the two projects is built around the questions What is the meaning of the forms of tradition inserted from different world visions? We know that these educational acts are underestimated and ignored by the lack of understanding and knowledge that you have of them under the instrumental logic that dominates the world view. On the other hand, we wonder what true recognition of the different entail in an educational project does? both questions will be developed in the following article. both questions will be developed in the following article.
